ABC's
Pelican Chapter was incorporated and developed in April
1980 from the growth of the merit shop in Louisiana and
the need to adequately service the construction industry
throughout the state.

The
Greater New Orleans Industrial Education Council is
chartered by the State of Louisiana as a non-profit
corporation. Their goals are to provide
state-of-the-art, innovative training and support
processes to the industrial community. Through their
experience and expertise they enhance the quality of
awareness and safety that is essential to all workers in
an industrial setting.

The
Greater New Orleans Business Roundtable is a
maintenance, construction and engineering forum.

The
Houston Area Substance Abuse Program was created to
provide a safe and substance-free contractor workforce
while protecting employees rights and privacy. The
program is being renamed the National Substance Abuse
Program.

The
Houston Business Roundtable was established in 1973 as
an association of construction users to be the owners’
voice in Houston for the construction industry. From
the late 70’s through the mid 80’s, HBR’s focus turned
to all aspects of cost effective project and
construction management including engineering, design,
procurement and construction.
ITI
Technical College is an accredited local private college
offering 2 year degrees in PTEC, instrument and control
systems technology, process analyzers and others.
They also offer certificate programs in a variety of
office and industrial areas.

The
Lake Area Industry Alliance is devoted to to provide a
forum to inform the public about industry issues and
foster strong Industry-Community relations while
building a positive business environment.

The
Louisiana Chemical Association has over 66 member
companies and seeks to promote a positive climate for
chemical manufacturing that ensures long term economic
growth.

The
Louisiana Mid-Continent Oil and Gas Association
represents all sectors of the oil and gas industry
operating in Louisiana and the Gulf of Mexico. One of
the goals of the oil and gas industry is to operate in
harmony with the environment.

The National Association of Women
in Construction enhances the success of women in the
construction industry.

PTEC
(Process Technology) is the standardized curriculum for
a two-year associate of applied science degree that
prepares people to work as process technology operators
in the Louisiana chemical industry.

The
Safe Nation Radio Broadcast is dedicated to
making safety as fun, informative, and entertaining as
possible and can be heard Saturdays at 1 p.m. on WJBO 1150
AM.

The
Safety Council is a non-profit organization that exists
to improve safety in the workplace, community and the
home.
