Golf & Gumbo Committee

On November 5, 2009, at the University Club, we will hold our annual Golf and Gumbo Tournament. Registration starts at 11:00 a.m. and tee time begins at 12:00 p.m. If you would like to join the committee currently working on this event, please contact Burden Edmonds.

Main objective of the event:

• Fundraiser for GBRIA programs (in order to keep dues low)

• Plant-to-plant networking among managers, engineers, technicians, contractors, suppliers, etc.

Format:

• $150 per player, mix & match teams with 3 plants to 1 supplier/contractor

• Do not want contractors/suppliers to pay for plants to play - everybody pays their own way

• Scramble tournament with prizes for winning events/teams

• One afternoon flight

• Gumbo/dinner social for golfers and non-golfers afterwards
